The Appleseed Cast Is Coming To The Firebird

The Firebird just snagged Lawrence's the Appleseed Cast for a show on August 30th. Hospital Ships will open. Tickets are $10 and will go on sale soon. The band, which has adapted its emo roots into a versatile post-rock sound with recent releases, released its Middle States EP earlier this year.
The new stuff sees the band exploring much of the same dynamic, wandering sonic territory it has for several years. Previewing the Cast's 2010 Off Broadway show, Roy Kasten mentioned My Morning Jacket, Band of Horses, Radiohead and Explosions in the Sky as reference points of one kind or another, and they all still seem apt.
