The Watson Twins Are Coming To Off Broadway
The Watson Twins are coming back to Off Broadway on Wednesday, September 21. Alvan & Ayosha will open. Tickets are $10 and on sale now.
The Watson Twins were at the same venue exactly 363 days before this show playing with Laura Veirs, though this will be the duo's first headlining show at OB. Plenty has changed for the duo since we interviewed them in 2009, most recently the release of a six-song EP called Night Covers, featuring the Twins' rendition of songs by PJ Harvey, Bill Withers, Sade, The Turtles, Eurythmics and The Black Keys.
After two full-lengths and this EP, the Watson Twins are officially out of the shadow of a stint singing backup for Jenny Lewis on Rabbit Fur Coat. And while the two's best cover remains "Just Like Heaven," which can be found on Fire Songs, their version of Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine" is pretty awesome. Listen to a live version below.
