Bleeding Deacon Closes, But Not For Good

bleedingdeacon1128.jpeg
The Bleeding Deacon Public House (4123 Chippewa Street; 314-772-1812): Home of Music Trivia Tuesdays and the occasional Bitch Please party, employer of some of our favorite musicians and generally excellent place to drink a few beers, has closed its doors. However, despite a minor social media panic over the weekend, the south city icon is not gone for good. The RFT's food blog, Gut Check, tracked down a post from General Manager Mike McLaughlin that said, in part, "Truth is, we may be closing for longer than we hoped, but this is not a forever thing, we may be moving to a new location, just sooner and more disorganized than i thought it would."

You can head over to Gut Check for the full update and any additional information that comes in as the day progresses. Meanwhile, you can find many of the Deacon's employees at its sister bar, The Crow's Nest (7336 Manchester Road, Maplewood; 314-781-0889)
