Childish Gambino, Eve 6 and an R.E.M. Tribute and More in This Week's New Show Announcements
Submitted for your consideration: Every newly-announced show this week! KDHX's Tribute to R.E.M. on April 27 is sure to be packed -- which is especially good, considering it is a benefit show for the independent radio station. Don Glover, star of NBC's Community brings his rapping alter-ego Childish Gambino -- a moniker the accomplished television writer reportedly acquired through a "Wu-Tang name generator" -- to the Pageant on June 7. Interestingly, Eve 6 (remember that "put my tender heart in a blender" song? Yeah, those guys) are playing April 7 at Fubar -- an interesting fit that should make for an extra interesting show. Corrosion of Conformity, Bailiff, Fucked Up, Ringworm and Tim Barry all have upcoming shows in town as well.
