The 2012 RFT Music Showcase is two weeks away, on June 2. And here it is: 5 blocks, 14 stages, 79 bands and artists. Ten bucks gets you all the excellent St. Louis music you can absorb in one twelve hour span. And hey: At least for now, the forecast calls for an incredibly pleasant high of 89 degrees, which is an improvement over last year, when the high was more like 1 million degrees. (Knocks on wood). Salivate over the full schedule, below.

Vote for all categories at the official 2012 RFT Music Showcase Reader's Poll.

Went to the mustic festival at "Ball Park Village" on Sun.  They cancelled the entire show around 2:30 or due to impending storms in the area.  Paid $30 for 2 beers!  Everyone forced to leave before a single rain drop!!  Storms NEVER appeared.  Ridiculous decision.  Totally unfair to attendees.  No offer of any refund.  I was "screwed" and would not recommend this event to anyone.

That event was completely unrelated to this event.

Probably worried about an incident similar to Kilroy's tent...

I don't see The Mondales on the Playlist. They played Cicero's on Friday night

Deepthroat.
Deepthroat.

If a band is not on the schedule, it's likely that they didn't respond to the RFT music department's contact e-mail, or try to contact the staff. I know there was a considerable effort to book every band that was nominated.

I don't see the 12-6 Movement on the schedule.  I think they should be.
