UMSL Students Climb Aboard the "Call Me Maybe" Parody Train

"Call Me Maybe" is this song by Canadian Carly Rae Jepsen, and its buoyancy and spontaneity have proven infectious in a 28 Days Later kind of way. Maybe you've heard? YouTube reports some 29,000 results for "Call Me Maybe" at this point, and one of them comes from our friendly neighborhood University of Missouri system affiliate. This one is in the "Harvard Baseball" school of "Call Me Maybe" covers, which involves three rows and synchronized choreography. The UMSL version keeps the actual music video's, "Oh he's gay!" ending twist, except here the lead is being played by a dude to begin with. So he gets what he wants. OK, it's possible we've spent too much time thinking about this song and its attendent Internet life.

So here's this thing in case you need another one of these in your life; we certainly don't have the je ne sais quoi to put ourselves out there like this, so hat tip on that front.

With all the amazing musical talent going on in STL, why are you wasting everyone's time on this? Lazy journalism...
