KDHX's 25th Birthday Fall Membership Drive Starts Today

KDHX's Fall Membership Drive started this morning -- as of 1 p.m. they're 4.6% of the way there.
KDHX emerged from the ashes of KDNA in 1987. Since then it has become not only the best place anywhere on the dial to hear people who love music play whatever the hell they want, but also a gathering place for St. Louis music fans through a wide variety of concert series, outreach programs and events. Today, the station is starting its twice-yearly campaign to cover operating costs. Donate here.

KDHX is also literally the only publicly funded entity we have ever encountered for which we look forward to these pledge seasons and listen more, not less. The DJs passionate, often strange, appeals for support are no intrusion, as far as we're concerned.

And those aforementioned events are in full tilt in the next month. Head to Grand Center tonight for the final installment of the station's Thursday's at the Intersection series, tonight featuring no less a get than Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin. Next Sunday is the KDHX 25th Birthday Blow Out at the Schlafly Tap Room -- for that one, they've got an all-star lineup of classic St. Louis bands, some of whom aren't even active. Both events are free to attend.
