We've had some good times.
The Luminary Center for the Arts is moving to Cherokee Street and will thereby expand its size and services to the art community greatly. There's still plenty of work before the McAnallys will be opening their new doors, but tonight they and the rest of the Luminary crew will send off the old space in style with a show by vaunted California hip-hop/rock act WHY? Tickets are $12 (buy 'em here) and this thing starts at 8 p.m.

We'd like to send you to tonight's show. To win, tell us your favorite memory from the Luminary's Rebar Place location, whether it's a show, an art exhibit, a good conversation you had with James or Brea or both or whatever else. You have two hours and, as always, are welcome to enter via Facebook, Twitter or the comments section below. Here are a few of ours, to get you started:

@rftmusic My first show at @theluminaryarts was Lightning Bolt, the first time I've ever seen a band hand out ear plugs before their set.

The Mount Kimbie performance was incredible. It was a Sunday night, and there was a long delay, but in the end it turned into one of those amazing intimate shows that remind you why you keep going out in the first place.

It's on my street! So sad to see it move from the 'hood.
