England's ever-talented songstress Ellie Goulding played to a capacity crowd at the Pageant last night. Goulding's debut studio album Lights catapulted the singer to dizzying heights of success in 2010. The October 2012 release of follow-up Halcyon made sure that she stayed there.

RFT Music's Jon Gitchoff was at the Pageant with camera in tow to catch the highlights.

My Voice Nation Help

Fabulous show. Was a bit surprised by the number of folks talking during one of her ballads, and evidently she was, too; she challenged the audience to go completely silent before subsequently beginning her cover of Elton John's "Your Song." Her most charged performance in my opinion was that of "Only You," which she disclosed to the audience that it is her favorite song. Incidentally, I wasn't a huge fan of her very last song, "Lights." My suspicion is that she is completely burned out on this piece as she was trying all different kinds of harmonies that just didn't seem to work well. Just my opinion, mind you. All in all, great performance from an artist with a brilliant voice and a dazzling, raspy tone. Great photos!
