The Bonnaroo 2013 Lineup Announcement Is Here [Updated With Complete Lineup]

Categories: This Just In

[UPDATE: The complete lineup is now on page two of this post.]

Right now, even as I type this, Weird Al Yankovic is in the midst of a three-hour long live streaming video announcement for this year's Bonnaroo Festival, a four-day event that takes place every year in Manchester, Tennessee. As one who is watching said live stream, I am presently somewhere near the seventh or tenth circle of hell, by my estimation.

R Kelly, Mumford and Sons, Paul McCartney, Passion Pit, Big K.R.I.T., Wilco, Purity Ring, Wu-Tang Clan, ZZ Top, Bjork, The xx, Tame Impala, Animal Collective, Kendrick Lamar and Macklemore are among the artists announced so a pinata, Jimmy Fallon, the Weird One himself and some other guy in a sleeveless flannel shirt.

Watch for yourself here, or wait fifteen minutes until I update this post with the full lineup. See, I kindly subjected myself to this crap, so you didn't have to. You're welcome!

Bonnaroo 2013, sponsored by the AARP.  Tom Petty, Paul McCartney, Mumford and Sons, and Bjork as the headliners is pretty depressing to anyone who kept listening to music after 1996.

First Spin bitches about Weird Al, now you. Is there some beef between him and the press that I'm unaware of?
