The Six Best Songs With Ridiculously Long Titles

Categories: Nitpick Six

4. Sufjan Stevens - "They Are Night Zombies!! They Are Neighbors!! They Have Come Back from the Dead!! Ahhhh!"

This is not the longest song name on Sufjan Stevens' excessive-in-every-way Illinois record, but it has the highest quality to length ratio. It's "The Zombie Song" on the album, and it predated the zombie apocalypse trend by a handful of years. It's also oddly funky, especially since it keeps Stevens' organic aesthetic intact unlike the electro question marks of The Age Of Adze.

3. Black Moth Super Rainbow & The Octopus Project: "It Hurts To Shoot Lasers From Your Fingers, But It's Necessary"
Okay, I said that I was judging songs based on the song and not the title, but credit is due to Black Moth Super Rainbow & The Octopus Project because it takes longer to say "It Hurts To Shoot Lasers From Your Fingers, But It's Necessary" than it does to listen to the track.

I've been listening to a lot of "The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide Is Press Coverage" lately. That's a 10-worder.
