Got $200,000? Own a piece of St. Louis radio history!
As KDHX (88.1 FM) polishes off the move to its new home at Grand Center, one little pesky piece of business still needs attending to: selling the building that was the station's home for over twenty years.

The building has officially been listed for sale through the commercial brokers at Schlafly Corporation, and at present the asking price is $200,000. That is just the asking price, though. We're betting you could probably shave a few dozen bucks off of that if your haggling skills are sharp.

The building, located at 3504 Magnolia, was initially a family bakery, with the upstairs serving as lodging for the owners. It has undergone extensive remodeling in order to become the state-of-the-art music studio and recording space that it is today. The building is located in Tower Grove East, blocks from the South Grand Business District. It will be available for purchase in December.

KDHX will be missed! :( We truly need something fun to open up there. They rehabbed the once laundromat next door- Hmmm...

Turn it into a museum and revitalize the area!

I used to live across the street. Miss the place, despite the hostage situation at the corner grocery and the dealers on the corner.

I'll give 'em Tree Fiddy for it.

That'd be awesome Jane, but I'd be shocked if MO allowed a dispensary in my lifetime!

that is so cheap compared to here in Australia - i would buy it if i was over there and turn it into an artgallery/snack bar/coffee shop and medicinal marijuana dispensary if the state allowed it. I would live upstairs and allow selected artists to use spare bedrooms as studio space/accomodation. People would come from all over the land to enjoy the grooviness of my little shop!

I grew up 2 blocks away on Magnolia and that was a good bakery when I was young.

I LOVE that building. I engineered the noon talk shows there for three years in the early 90's. I've missed the place ever since.
