Nelly at the AMAs.
On last night's American Music Awards, hometown boy Nelly made an appearance alongside country music duo Florida Georgia Line, performing his 2001 single "Ride Wit Me" off of Country Grammar, following a performance of FGL's "Cruise," for which the band and Nelly won the "Single of the Year" award.

Below is the video of the entire performace. "Ride Wit Me" starts at the 2:30 mark. In the video below that, you can see Nelly's entire four-word acceptance speech: "St. Louis what up!"

Got to love that hometown pride.

Nelly really can't keep a note without help from technology. Without technology he sucks live

He says "St. Louis What up?" That's in the video that you posted IN the article. Are you trying to make us all feel crazy? Or are you dyslexic?

He clearly says, "St. Louis, what up?" It's kind of weird that you misquoted him when you had video of it.

And see...this is why in the realm of big cities, we're still thought of as one of the least significant. All the guy said was "Whaddup STL?!" and instantly the next morning every local news outlet is all... "ZOMG you guize did you HEAR NELLY? He repped STL on a big time awards show with celebrities and ALL Y'ALL!". Play it cool STL and you may be thought of as such more often.

ok that's great that he shows up for award shows... but doesn't show up for the two FGL shows in his beloved hometown, St. Louis...
