Fox News and Megyn Kelly are Dreaming of a White Christmas

In the same exact report she stated that history has verified the fact that Jesus Christ is also white. Really? I could've sworn at the time of his death he was referred to as the King of the Jews. The Bible describes Jesus as a guy with Bronze skin, the scripture also says his hair was the texture of wool. This doesn't sound like the image of a snow-white individual to me.

Megyn proclaims very adamantly that Jesus (a Jewish prophet and possibly the Jewish-born messiah of the world) was white. I guess all of a sudden Jews are considered white, despite the fact that Hitler murdered millions of Jewish people for not being white. I guess Fox News has the ability to pardon the sins of the German Nazis and re-write history so now, according to Megyn Kelly, the King of the Jews is a European white man. The craziest part about all of this, believe it or not, is that there are some people that find it hard to believe that Jesus is actually real. So for all intents and purposes we can't hide under the guise of "history" when referring to the race and ethnic background of a religious prophet/messiah that possibly never existed. I personally believe in Jesus Christ; I pray to him daily. But it's just foolish to speak on the race of the alleged son of God when there's strong scientific evidence suggesting that he may not even be real.

For all we know, God may be a figment of our imagination. If Jesus is real, many of us believe he's the messiah of the Earth. This automatically prevents him from being white, because he's the son of God. God is not white and the very thought that Megyn would suggest that his son is white shows you the unbalanced paradigm people like her operate from. I believe God is real, and I believe God is a spirit -- "spirit" can be loosely defined according to perspective.

We can physically manifest spirit if we choose. So the existence of God does have physical qualities to me personally. Hence the entire science behind the human race being "made in his image." This scripture even bothers me, because if God is actually a spirit then the spirit also does not have a specific gender, but I get the gist of what the writers were attempting to say. Even still, I'm not blind to fact that the Bible was revised and written by a group of sexist males. If they were sexist, its stands to reason that they were also likely homophobic and racist. That's just how the world functioned back then, so there's no harm, no foul involved.

If God and Jesus are both indeed non-fictional characters solely responsible for the salvation of all humans, then it's absolutely ridiculous to sit on national TV and say that Jesus is white. If Jesus actually came to earth as the son of God, then the Jewish body was simply the vessel he inhabited for this mission. But there are many different shades of Jews, and it's highly likely that he didn't look like the blue-eyed, blonde-haired painting Megyn is referencing. This is a moment that will forever haunt Megyn, but I'm sure she doesn't really give a damn, ultimately, and I am sure she is assured that white Jesus will hear her prayers and get her through this brief moment of controversial publicity.

Merry Christmas, one and all.

Santa and Jesus were both of the same species as the Sasquatch.

All three have the exact same "worshiphilias imaginarius" DNA sequence.

Michael Jackson was the only true representative of a White Christmas for homo's and sapiens.

Albinos are white, but Mediterraneans are considered Caucasians. Many who do not originate from Caucasus are considered so. Just as African-Americans are not purely Black, we use such as a description. Get over it.

As to claiming a skin color of a fictional character, why not? Especially when children might be within earshot? Would you be Scrooge and ruin their childhood by proclaiming someone is fictional? Congratulations on being mean.

And her reference to Jesus Christ, same applies, as most born and raised in that region are considered white or Caucasians.

Personally, I find slicing and dicing humanity into groups based on the color of their skin is stupid and narrow minded. I follow Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s dream of grouping people based on the content of their character.

Technically, Saint Nicholas was Turkish; thus likely a bit "brown."

Megyn needs to close her mouth while she is ahead she's beginning to make me think seriously about the dumb blonde thing.

If we truly want to "get over" race then why can't our heroes/fictional characters be people of other races then our own? People in the thread/article mentioned Jesus. Yes, he was depicted as a white male in European paintings but knowing that he was a Jewish man therefore darker skin, dark hair, etc. doesn't make him any less of a Savior for me. If we wanted to hold to the true Saint Nicholas, why can't he be depicted the color he was? I get fictional characters, buying dolls to represent your family. However, I think the better way would be to say I don't care what color this person is b/c there are generous, courageous, intelligent individuals & heroes in all races & I want my children to be exposed to that diversity.

@JamesMadison  "And her reference to Jesus Christ, same applies, as most born and raised in that region are considered white or Caucasians"

Complete bullshit. ... the population of that area more resembled Arabs, Dark Maghrebs, Dark Egyptians -- i.e. Northern Africans

Why LIE to children, to cover and expound an earlier LIE, especially when the lies promote bigoted racial stereotypes?

@Wallace Sara  ... who is "noone" ?

@DonkeyHotay, first and foremost, I believe there is but one race - the human race. This slicing and dicing is foolish and wrongheaded.

Secondly, white, black, brown, red, and yellow. Folks from the Middle east are not black, red, nor yellow. White or brown? From where I grew up, brown was Mexican and SubAsian. I've always considered Middle Eastern more Caucasian than anything else, based on proximity if nothing more.

Perhaps many of us believe those in that region just have a deeper suntan rather than natural skin pigment from birth. And perhaps some like yourself wish to slice and dice the human race into tiny tribal races to discriminate their origins.

But go ahead and tell children when they ask, "Is Santa white?" that Santa is not real. You'll be the most popular person sitting alone some day. Scrooge and the Grinch opened their hearts to children. Oh, they aren't real either, right?

You really do just make up bullshit to fit your preconceived delusions, don't you?

@DonkeyHotay, that you are completely devoid of humor is a much larger problem than anything I've faced.

If having a child believe in Santa Claus is harmful, well, 93.2% of the population is harming children. (this being the internet, we are free to makeup any stat we wish) The actual number does not matter, we both know in the US that number is quite large, and many of us grew up with the same, as did our parents, and theirs before them. Somehow, our nation has survived.

The most correct thing to be said about Santa's race is that it generally believed to the same as the child's father.

As to Saint Nick, a historical being, from Turkey, could easily be descended from Caucasus region. So poo-poo to your racially biased lies theory.

As to Jesus Christ's heritage, we know he was Jewish, and modern Jews can trace their lineage back to those Jews living in the region where Jesus was born.  Many modern day Jews are considered white, and not given another bigotry-motivated label. (Yes, many are bigoted towards Jews, but you really cannot tell the Jewish person from others since it is not a race, but a belief.)

I will continue to check the race box other, and write down Human. You are free to call yourself as you wish. And others can subscribe a particular race to their Savior. I've seen black Jesus on crosses and portraits, and while not my personal view, I accept that in the spirit in "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."

@JamesMadison " I've always considered Middle Eastern more Caucasian than anything else, based on proximity if nothing more."

Your quaint delusions =/= reality

That you believe telling bigoted racially biased lies to children is acceptable, or even wise, shows just how morally depraved you actually are.

Disseminating and perpetuating vile racially dominant stereotypes while hiding behind "protecting children" from earlier lies you fed them is incontrovertibly grotesque.
