St. Louis celebrated its 250th birthday with one hot event Tuesday, February 18, on Art Hill in Forest Park. The Burnin' Love Festival, rescheduled from a rainy Valentine's Day, featured music by Pokey Lafarge, "Memories of Elvis" starring Steve Davis, the Royal Rhythm & Blues All Stars, fireworks and plenty of local food and drink. Keeping with the "love" theme, 300 couples had registered to become engaged or re-engaged during the festivities. Photos by Steve Truesdell for the Riverfront Times.

Be sure to check out our full slideshow of the event here.

It looks like they were letting lesbians get "engaged". Is everyone OK with that?
