Willis are probably on the list because they have played more shows than a lot of bands that have been out for 5 years. They are doing what the Sex Pistols did by just going on stage and doing something before taking music lessons, only without the tired dime a dozen rock and roll instruments and sound. They are a combination of The Residents meet The Shaggs. It is just fun, different, surreal and theatric. It is cool to have something that is fun, different than anything else in the city and not filled with poseur male testosterone. That's all. Let them enjoy being on the list. In 1981 I got up on stage at Bernards Pub with a band of guys wearing Ronald Reagan masks with guitars feeding back and a synthesizer droning and we were beating each other with plastic wiffle ball bats before we lit an American flag on fire. We thought it was WAY more punk than a band playing Ramones covers. I am sure that people thought it was goofy and that we would never amount to anything. You never know what somebody like that will do in the future though. Now I have over 100 different albums out, and I am a music instructor at Washington University, still playing my weird muzik on 59 different instruments.

Why does anyone give any significance to anything the RFT writes? For a liberal rag they sure do play a lot of politics. It's not how talented or relevant you are it's who you know.
