B.B. King - Friday, April 4 @ Peabody Opera House
Get out of that bathtub or basement and get out to a show this weekend. B.B. King plays the Peabody, Kate Nash follows up the Ready Room's debut show with the space's second concert, Why? finds its way to the Demo, and Guttermouth storms the stage at Fubar. No mighty gust of wind could keep is in this weekend -- just do us a favor, and proceed with caution.

Friday (April 4):

B.B. King
@ Peabody Opera House
8 p.m. | $35-$100
It's B.B. King, you idiot! Am I really supposed to tell you something you don't already know? Sorry I called you an idiot, by the way. (DH)

Dax Riggs
w/ Lions of Hazelwood, Hideous Gentlemen
@ The Firebird
9 p.m. | $12-$14
From Dax Riggs' Facebook page, in the "Artists We Also Like" section: "dead ones." (DH)

Junoon
@ Saint Louis University-Busch Student Center
6:30 p.m. | $5
And now for something completely different: Have you ever seen a rock band from Pakistan? Neither have we, so here's a chance to check out some psychedelic sufi rock. Here's what that sounds like, in case you're curious. (MS)

Kate Nash
w/ Spectator
@ The Ready Room
8 p.m. | $15/$18
Try to tell me this song isn't the catchiest thing you've heard today, and I'll call you a liar. And an idiot. Also, you are DOOMED. Keep reading to learn why. (DH)

LIFTED
w/ BoomBaptist, Parisian, Ra Cailum
@ Blank Space
9 p.m. | $5
The tenth installment of LIFTED features BoomBaptist, who hails from Texas and makes genre-blending beats. Get a sample via Soundcloud. (MS)

International Contemporary Ensemble with Claire Chase
@ Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts
7:30 p.m. | $10-$20
Flutist Claire Chase has premiered more than a hundred new works for flute in the past ten years. During this performance, inspired by the Pulitzer's current exhibit she'll perform a dozen works with ICE. Afterwards, head to Tavern of Fine Arts for another event for experimental music fans: Rob Mazurek and Darin Gray duo -- more on that here here. (MS)

I have one that didn't make your top ten, it is the Chris Weaver Band, in town tonight and performing at Brazikat Brazilian Steak & Seafood House, no cover and $5.00 top shelf drinks during the whole show…hard to beat that! :)
