Here is an excerpt from former RFT Music editor Annie Zaleski's 2011 review of headliner Queens of the Stone Age:

By the set-ending "You Can't Quit Me Baby," controlled chaos reigned. Homme sauntered to the mic with a lit cigarette in his mouth and blew smoke around his face. During the song, his echo-processed vocals enhanced the space-drone vibe provided by snakecharmer riffs and Dean Fertita's tambourine and shaker percussion. The volume and speed of the song increased as it progressed -- and in fact, each individual member spazzed out separately in their stage space, Castillo in particular. The band knew it was on fire; the audience responded in kind with delirious cheers.

I just recently moved to stl from trying to take care of my elderly mother. My son is almost 16. I would love to take him to the show

And I deserve tickets because I'm an avid RFT follower taking inspiration from the witty and truthful articles, whichliterally inspired me to write my own blogs with my own flare. I also didn't even remember that it was mother's day because my boyfriend keeps telling me that he can't afford to do anything in the name of The Offsping we produced together, which really hurts me so I kinda tuned it out. So I dunno, I really really want to go, really bad. I love The Point, I love St. Louis, and I love concerts and I will have the time of my life if I can have the opportunity to procure tickets.

I'd take my 11 year old to his first concert. He is a drummer himself and I think it would be good for him to see the bands. Plus, I'm a Offspring fan. ;)

I think I should be able to go be cause I have this sick thing for Chelsea Clinton, when I think of her it makes me howl like a Wolfe.  I know she is a Clinton Offspring, but her mom was a Queen back in the Stone Age and even she would give me a Morning Parade.  I know it sick.  I told you, but I can see us meeting in a bar with signs glowing like Trees made of Neon.  I am sure it Crosses the line cause she is married with a kid on the way but the Head and Heart don't necessary match up.  I never really even considered the thought of her but last October. I was Blue because I was left A.F.I (After F'ing Intercourse) by my ex-girlfriend Peggy Orwells.  So I think I need a day where I can hang around a bunch Of numb-Skulls and listen to some Bands!

Queens rules but that pic is ancient and only represents 2/5ths of the current lineup.

I would like to win for my son . The last pointfest he attended with his then girlfriend he had to abruptly leave because his then girlfriend had a seizure. He was only there for an hour. Now he is a soon to be father and moving up in the ranks of his employment. I am very proud of him he has changed his whole life around.I think this would be a wonderful suprise for him. There are many bands playing that he would die to see. E-Mail dawnvogt13@yahoo.com.

I have gone to every single Pointfest for the last 6 years, however this year we have run into a financial bind and this is quickly becoming the first one I will miss.  Having a baby is amazing, but it doesn't leave any wiggle room when it comes to doing things for yourself.  Not only is it just a missed concert, but I absolutely LoVe The Offspring, I've seen them twice, and my guy has yet to see them.  He's done a lot for us, including supporting all of us financially so I would love to give him a day out with the little one at Grandma's, he deserves it, but I can't provide it.

I deserve tickets because I'd love to be the awesome Mom that takes her 12 year old to his first rock concerts. :) (And we have a shared love for the Offspring, so...bonus!)
