Edward Jones Dome is Worst in NFL

Sports Illustrated published its annual NFL fan survey this week and the people have spoken:

The Edward Jones Dome is the worst place in America to see a professional football game.

SI polled its readers with a detailed web survey, asking them to score their satisfaction with their team's venue in categories like affordability, tailgating, atmosphere, accessibility and team quality.

The Rams brought up the rear in nearly every department, including, of course, team quality. The highest mark was for accessibility (19th overall) presumably because of the proximity of the Metro Link.

As for the rest of the league, Lambeau Field rightfully took first place for the second consecutive year. Pittsburgh's Heinz Field was runner-up.

Just like in the games, the Rams were just a hair worse than the Detroit Lions, whose Ford Field finished 31st overall.

Oddly enough, Giants Stadium in New York was ranked 22nd, while the Jets (who play on the same field) were 29th. Good luck figuring that one out.

I’ve never been to a game at the eight-year-old Ed Jones Dome, but now I’m curious: is it really all that bad?

(And please spare me the argument that it's all because it's a Dome -- growing up in Seattle I have many fond memories of the Kingdome being a helluva place to see a Seahawks game and one of the loudest spots in the NFL.)
